Dear Incoming fourth-grade families,

We are requesting a donation of $40 for school supplies and $35 for field trips.

In order to prevent waste and to save you from time consuming shopping trips, the fourth grade teachers are requesting a cash donation in lieu of school supplies. With your contribution, we will be able to purchase supplies in bulk and make sure that every student is equitably equipped with what they need. We have found that having uniform supplies helps keep our students more organized and focused on their learning. Your donation will cover things like pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, glue, tape, Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, markers, etc.

Additionally, we are requesting that each family contribute to our fourth grade field trip fund. We love going into the field, and we value these experiences for our IB learners, as we strongly believe that children learn by constructing knowledge through first hand experience. In past years, fourth grade has used these funds to travel to the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Historical Society, Salem, The Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals, The End of the Trail Interpretive Center, and to see the Jefferson Dancers. We hope to line up just as many informative learning opportunities next year (Covid dependent). Please support us by helping to pay entrance fees and transportation costs with this one-time donation.
